Recovery from





Center for HEART was established in 2013. 

Our specialized counselors deal with various traumas, however, we especially focus on sexual traumas such as rape, domestic violence, male survivors, child sexual assault and sexual minority. 

We also offer supervision and training for Counselors or family member (included but not limited) of survivors with these traumas.

[Announcement regarding COVID-19]

Due to concerns related to the new Cononavirus (COVID-19), we are making the following temporary changes to our policy; 


1) We have stopped the in-person counseling temporarily

Due to the growing risk of infection in Tokyo, we are not accepting appointments for in-person counseling for the time being. 

2) If you would like to be contacted when the in-person counseling resumes

Please let us know via the appointment form below and we will contact you when we resume the in-person counseling.

3) Skype or Phone counseling is available

Initial intake sessions are also available by Skype or Phone ( *Some of our counselors only offer Skype sessions)



We will continue to monitor the situation and make changes accordingly.

We offer In-person counseling and supervision.

Place :

  Shinjuku-ku or Minato-ku, Tokyo, Japan.
       * We will inform you the detail when you reserve an appointment.

  11,000 yen/hour (EMDR:17,000yen/90mins)
      * The first intake will be one-time fee of 9,000 yen/hour.
Payment methods:

  1) Cash : Payment is due at end of appointment.

  2) Bank Transfer : We will tell you the transfer NO. when your reservation is completed.
Cancellation Policy:  

Notification given less than 24 hours prior to an appointment time will result 50% charge of the reserved service. Failure to show up for your appointment will result in a 100% charge of the reserved service.

Booking process:

As soon as we receive your reservation, we will contact you about your counseling schedule within a week. 

  • If you don't get E-mail from us in a week, it could be a system error, so we appreciate you try to contact us again.
  • We recommend you to give us the preferred dates that are a week or more from now. Please note that it usually takes a few days to process and finalize a reservation.
  • Your information can only be used by authorized personnel at our center.

After graduating from University in Japan, she received a M.A. in Counseling Psychology in the United States. She, as a counselor,  has various experience supporting survivors of rape, domestic Violence, sexual assault, sexual harassment and child abuse. She also offer advocate/counselor training and supervisions.

Suomi Fujimori (Counselor)



Suomi has 15 years of experience as a bilingual counselor working with a family and children after completing Master of Social Work in the US. She is a licensed clinical development psychologist in Japan, and has extensive experience in deciphering dynamics within couples and/or families to identify miscommunication between individuals, and optimizing their mutual understanding and respect. With her own experiences working in the US and Hong Kong, she is particularly committed to helping clients who experience difficulties in cross-cultural environments, whether in the workplace or in the family.

Tomoko Kabeya (Assistant)


She received an M.A. in Counseling and spent 10+years working for a graduate school as the International Student Coordinator as well as a counselor in the U.S.
