Center for HEART was established in 2013.

Our specialized counselors deal with various traumas, however, we especially focus on sexual traumas such as rape, domestic violence, male survivors, child sexual assault and sexual minority.

We also offer supervision and training for Counselors or family member (included but not limited) of survivors with these traumas.

Our Counseling

We offer online counseling and supervision.

Fee:

10,000 yen/hour (15,000yen/90mins)
* The first intake will be one-time fee of 8,000 yen/hour.

Payment methods:

Bank Transfer : We will tell you the transfer NO. when your reservation is completed.

Cancellation Policy:

Notification given after 7pm on the day prior to an appointment day will result in 100% charge of the reserved service.

As soon as we receive your reservation, we will contact you about your counseling schedule within a week.

If you don't get E-mail from us in a week, it could be a system error, so we appreciate you try to contact us again.
We recommend you to give us the preferred dates that are a week or more from now. Please note that it usually takes a few days to process and finalize a reservation.

◆Attention◆　We ask all of our clients to read the following information and fill out the form if you agree to our policies to receive our counseling service.

【１】Nature of Counseling Service ----------- The fee of our service is usually 10,000 yen per hour (15,000 yen per 1 hour and a half minutes) unless otherwise notified. This hour includes non-clinical conducts such as making payment and appointment. Please also note that counseling is not medical care.

【２】Cancellation --------- No cancellation fee will be charged if you notify us by 7:00 pm one day prior to the date of your appointment. Notification given after that will result in 100% charge of the reserved service. ＊If there are extreme circumstances such as a disaster, please consult with us as we might be able to waive the cancellation fee.

【３】Risk --------- While counseling is expected to have many benefits, such as alleviating trauma and other psychological symptoms and improving mental resilience, please understand that at the same time, working with mental issues may have unexpected side effects, such as insomnia, unpleasant memories, or physical sensations. If you feel any discomfort during the session, please do not hesitate to tell your counselor.

【４】Confidentiality -------------- Communications between you and your counselor are confidential. We will only release information to others about your counseling with your permission, however, there are exceptions where: a) there is evidence of clear and imminent danger of harm to self and/or others, b) Counselor learns or strongly suspects of child or elderly abuse, or c) required by laws.

【５】Online counseling ----------- We will use Zoom, Skype or Google meet, but please understand that the security of these services is not perfect. Please refrain from using low security Internet connections such as public wireless LAN.

【６】Recording and Scope of our service----------------- We do not take requests for audio/video recording of the counseling sessions. Also we ask our clients to refrain from using the services at our center for the purpose of litigation or other judicial proceedings.

【７】Termination of Service and Revocation of Agreement ------------- You have the right to terminate your counseling anytime you want. Also, you may revoke this agreement in writing or telling your counselor at any time.

Suomi has 15 years of experience as a bilingual counselor working with a family and children after completing Master of Social Work in the US. She is a licensed clinical development psychologist in Japan, and has extensive experience in deciphering dynamics within couples and/or families to identify miscommunication between individuals, and optimizing their mutual understanding and respect. With her own experiences working in the US and Hong Kong, she is particularly committed to helping clients who experience difficulties in cross-cultural environments, whether in the workplace or in the family.
